2020 are a video, TV and online production company based in London and Los Angeles. I was approached to originate a new identity that would reflect their service offering and be scalable for use across all media applications. As 2020 Work primarily with moving images it meant that thought needed to be given to legibility and application of the logo on moving, multi contrast backgrounds.

One of the golden rules in identity design is simplicity and this I rigourously applied with the new logo, creating an 8 bit style device that could easily be animated with a minimum of pixels and that could be presented at very small sizes whilst still retaining legibility. The simplicity of the logo also allowed for varying composited interpretations.
